b) Is personal information collected, processed and used when using this online services?

If you are no longer interested in receiving certain information or offers in the future, or if you no longer wish to receive the information/offers via a specific medium, please, inform us by sending an email to: privacy@quantifiedmarkets.com. We will then respond immediately to your request. 2. Collection, processing and use of usage data
a) What is usage data?
Usage data is the data that can be collected when any website is accessed.
b) How are the usage data collected, processed and used when using this offer?
When visiting the offer, quantified markets GmbH stores your usage data for a period of fourteen working days at short notice. The following data are stored: the domain name or the IP address of the requesting computer, the file request of the client (a file name and URL), the http response code, the website you visit us from, the date and duration of your visit. The storage takes place for the purpose of determination of malfunctions or abuse of our online services and our telecommunications services/equipment, as far as it is necessary for the establishment of further connections and/or for billing purposes. An evaluation of your usage data for the creation of personal user profiles shall not take place unless you have expressly consented to such a use. In the event of malfunctions or abuse, we shall reserve the right to notify the law enforcement agencies. Any further use or transfer of your usage data to third parties shall not take place.
3. Use of cookies
Please, note that this service uses cookies. The acceptance of these cookies by the visitor/user is not a prerequisite for the use of the service. However, blocking cookies may fail to enable all the functions.
a) What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is sent by the respective servers when visiting the service and is stored on the respective user’s hard disk. If the corresponding server is accessed again, the user’s browser sends the previously received cookie back to the server. Thereafter, the server can evaluate the information obtained by this procedure in various ways. There are basically two different types of cookies. On the one hand, session cookies that are stored only for one visitor session. This means that the cookies are automatically deleted immediately when the respective service is closed by the visitor/user. Secondly, temporary/permanent cookies that are stored on the user’s data storage for a longer period of time or indefinitely.
b) Which cookies does quantified markets GmbH use?
The quantified markets GmbH uses both the session cookies as well as the temporary/permanent ones for its services. When a user visits a service, cookies are sent to the user’s browser and stored on the user’s hard drive. These cookies are designed to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. The cookies contain no personal data or any personal information about the user so that we are unable to identify the person with the information obtained from the cookies. The information obtained serves for the sole purpose of producing statistics on the use of our offer. This allows us to adapt our offer to your wishes in the best possible way. The session cookies are automatically deleted from the customer’s hard disk after the end of the browser session. However, quantified markets GmbH also uses cookies that remain permanently on the user’s hard disk. These cookies are necessary to recognize on a new visit, which visitor it is and what adjustments and settings this visitor needs. These cookies remain on the hard disk and delete themselves after the given period of time.
c) What data is contained in the cookies?
Information on certain usage patterns and visited pages of quantified markets GmbH is stored via the cookies. However, no personal data is stored. The stored cookies, therefore, do not allow the assignment of user behavior to a specific or identifiable person. As far as cookies are used, these are assigned encrypted numbers. However, a name, an IP address, addresses, and other personal data are not contained in these cookies, and the personal identifiable information is never associated with the cookie identification number. The information provided to quantified markets GmbH is generalized in such a way that we only contain information about which pages have been visited, which videos have been viewed, or which individual pages have been clicked on the homepage. This information is transmitted and stored only under a pseudonym, which cannot be assigned to the name. The storage, therefore, serves the purpose of reviewing the efficiency of content on the pages of quantified markets GmbH and not the evaluation of personal usage behavior of identifiable individual users.
d) Are third-party cookies also used?
Advertising in this offer is optimized for you by anonymous collection and processing of your usage behavior for predicted interests. For this purpose, third-party companies set on our behalf cookies (the so-called tracking cookies) on your computer that collect usage data. This is such information that may be collected while you are browsing the pages of this online service, or clicking on advertisements. In this way, we can analyze the use of online advertising that might be of interest to you and match your preferences (“usage-based online advertising”). In no case shall personal data (such as a name, an address, an email address) be stored. If IP addresses are recorded, they will be anonymized so that a personal reference is excluded.
If you no longer wish to receive usage-based online advertising, you can prevent cookies from being set or saved via your browser settings.
In addition, you may object to the use of cookies by third parties acting on our behalf via the links below:
Google Analytics
As part of this offer, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable cross-device monitoring and analysis of the use of our online services by you. The information generated by the cookies about your use of our offer (including your IP address) will be sent to a server of Google in Europe, or in a member state of the European Economic Area, for the anonymization of the IP address, so that direct reference to a person is excluded. Only after the anonymization of the IP address is this truncated IP address transmitted to a server in the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and truncated there. On our behalf, Google uses the information generated by the cookies to evaluate your use of the offer across any device, to compile reports on the use of the offer, and to provide other services related to the use of the offer and the general Internet use. The (truncated) IP address will not be merged with other data provided by Google. In addition to the above-mentioned browser settings, you can prevent Google from processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Google Personalized Advertising
To disable Google’s personalized advertising, follow the steps under this link: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en
Optimizely
This website uses Optimizely, a web analytics service provided by Optimizely, Inc. (“Optimizely”). Optimizely uses the so-called cookies which help to transfer and store the information generated by the cookie about your use of this website to/on an Optimizely server in the USA. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Optimizely within member states of the European Union, or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to an Optimizely server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Optimizely will use this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. The IP address sent by Optimizely from your browser will not be merged with other Optimizely data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software. However, please, note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible. You may also deactivate Optimizely tracking at any time (and thereby prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website, including your IP address, and the processing of such data by Optimizely) by following the instructions on: http://www.optimizely.com/opt_out
e) What is Retargeting?
Retargeting works much like onsite targeting. The main difference is that retargeting also involves third parties. The so-called retargeting software is also used by quantified markets GmbH. This technology makes it possible for a user to be advertised on the websites of the partners of quantified markets GmbH. In this way, the user can be provided with an interest-based advertising that goes beyond the range of services offered by quantified markets GmbH. For this purpose, the above-mentioned cookies (session cookies, temporary cookies and tracking cookies) are also used, which the previous usage behavior is read out with. Moreover, in this case there is no personal storage and transfer of the data. Even the partner of quantified markets GmbH receives no personal data of the user. Advertisements are also displayed on the partners’ websites only, without the data (cookies that store user behavior) being merged with the personal data of any identifiable person. Besides, it is not possible for the third party to combine the user behavior with the respective person, either.
For example, quantified markets GmbH uses Internet retargeting technology from:
Criteo.com
This makes it possible to specifically target those Internet users who have already taken an interest in our services and our products on websites of our partners. From studies we know that the display of personalized, interest-based advertising for the Internet user is more interesting than advertising which does not have such a personal reference. The insertion of the advertising material takes place during retargeting on the basis of a cookie-based analysis of the previous user behavior. In no case can the data be used to personally identify the visitor to this website. In fact, no personal data are stored, and the use of retargeting technology takes place in compliance with the applicable legal data protection regulations.
If you do not want to receive interest-based advertising, you can disable this feature here.
For more information on Criteo technology, see the Criteo Privacy Policy.
f) Facebook Pixel And Website Custom Audience
In this online service, we want to present to our users tailored advertisements or special offers (“interest-based advertising”) and limit the frequency of advertisements displayed. For this purpose, we use the tool Website Custom Audiences of Facebook as well as the Facebook Pixel. Facebook Pixel is a JavaScript code that sends the following data to Facebook Ireland Ltd, Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”):
Facebook uses the hashed user-specific Facebook ID (included in the Facebook cookie) to automatically check whether the data transmitted by the Facebook Pixel can be assigned to a Facebook user. Unless a Facebook cookie is stored in your browser, it will not be classified in a user group designated as “Custom Audience”. If an assignment of the Facebook ID contained in the Facebook cookie can be made to a Facebook user, Facebook assigns this user to a “Custom Audience” based on the rules we set, provided that the criteria for this are met. We use this information for the display of advertisements on Facebook (“Facebook Ads”). However, ads are only displayed from a “custom audience” size of 20 different users. So, it is not possible to draw any conclusions about the characteristics of the individual users from the display. The assignment to a “Custom Audience” takes place for a maximum of 180 days. This period begins again when you re-visit our website and you are in compliance with the same “Custom Audience” rules. Facebook can associate your visit to our website and related activities with your Facebook user account. This is not possible for us. We only receive statistical information from Facebook about the use of our website via Audience Insights. Facebook shares your information with Facebook Inc., Facebook 1 Hacker Way Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, and uses your information to improve the quality of its advertising; among other things, Facebook Ads Optimization Algorithm and News Feed Ranking are improved.
Right of objection:
If you wish to object to the use of Facebook Website Custom Audiences, please, notify us by email: privacy@quantifiedmarkets.com. We will respond immediately to your request.
g) How can cookies be generally excluded?
In the matter of fact, the user can generally prevent the placement of cookies permanently or even temporarily by setting the browser accordingly (for more information, please, click here).
If the customer sets up the browser accordingly, it is possible that he/she can no longer use all of the services and/or functions offered by us. Each browser can be set in the manner so that cookies are generally rejected. If the customer wants to refuse the setting of cookies, he/she shall follow these technical instructions. Please, note that the deletion of cookies set in your browser as well as the settings provided in connection with the processing of your information by quantified markets GmbH, or third parties, are deleted. If the user deletes the stored cookies in his/her browser, he/she must also apply the desired settings for the processing of the information by quantified markets GmbH, or third parties. The deletion of all cookies can also result in the deletion of opt-out cookies for certain data processing.
Moreover, we request that you should note that your objection is stored by cookies on your computer. Only the cookies contain the information stating that you have objected to the use of your data in the context of tracking, or online targeting. Without these cookies, it is not possible to identify and consider your objection. In order for your objection to be permanently activated, you should not manually delete cookies on your computer. If you delete cookies, the objection must be filed again via the above-mentioned method. Besides, your objection must be filed separately for each computer and browser you use.
4. Use of the so-called Social Plugins
Facebook
Social media plugins on the social network www.facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”), are incorporated into the websites of this offer. Such social plugins include, for instance, the Facebook recommendation feature, the Facebook like button, the Facebook share button, the Facebook Livestream, the Facebook comments box. These features are constantly evolving and expanding through Facebook. Such social plugins are marked by means of a clearly visible Facebook logo (for example white “f” on a blue tile, or a “thumbs up” sign), or the addition “Facebook Social Plugin”. If a corresponding website is accessed, which contains such so-called social plugins, the user’s browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. If the user is also registered with Facebook and logged into his/her user account on Facebook, Facebook then receives information that the corresponding website was accessed by the user. If the user then actively uses the so-called social plugin, for example, by pressing the “Like” or the “Share” button, or by making a comment in the comments box on the corresponding website, the corresponding information is provided by the browser of the user transmitted directly to Facebook and used therein. In order to avoid that Facebook may collect the above-mentioned information when accessing a corresponding website, the user is encouraged to inform himself/herself about this on the Facebook website and/or log out of Facebook before accessing a page with the so-called social plugin. In addition, the user should delete existing Facebook cookies from his/her own browser.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and further use as well as use of the data by Facebook, as well as related rights and privacy settings, can be found in Facebook Privacy Policy. Please, note that Facebook constantly evolves the social network and informs about the associated data usage in this respect.
For more information, see the Facebook Privacy Policy at: https://facebook.com/policy.php
If you do not wish Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your Facebook user account, please, log out of your Facebook user account.

6. Data security
